Provided Project Management and systems design engineering for petroleum coke handling systems ranging from conceptual design through detailed project design.  Scope of work included receiving the coke from the cokers, dewatering and crushing, reclaiming with a semi-gantry crane to a surge hopper, feeding an apron feeder/breaker, and transporting the coke to a stockyard area via belt conveyors where it is stacked using a radial stacker conveyor and later reclaimed for ship loading.

Gypsum Facility Minerals

Project Description:  Industrial Gypsum Facility

Processes Unlimited (legacy Dean Oliver) designed, and engineered the facility to receive mined rock and process it into various gypsum plasters. Process equipment was specified, bid and selected.

Design and engineering began in February of 2003. Less than 15 months later start-up and commissioning was completed. To decrease equipment delivery times, designs, and specifications were consistent with standard components. The process contained many screw, belt, bucket, and pneumatic conveyance systems. Rock milling machines were selected to size the material. The process was designed to load super-sacks, bags or rail cars.

Lehigh Cement

Industry Type: Cement 
Project Description:  Cement Transport Line Purge Air System
Disciplines Involved:  Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, Instrumentation and Construction Supervision

Processes Unlimited was selected to design and manage the installation of a finish mill cement transport line purge air system. The original system had to be shut down for 15-20 minute intervals several times a day. When the mills were switched to a different storage silo the down time would allow the transport line to be "blown out". ProU provided a newly engineered system that significantly reduced the unnecessary mill down time and increased efficiency.

Project Description:  Gypsum and Limestone Material Handling System
Disciplines Involved:  Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, Controls

The project included the Material Flow Diagram, P&ID, preliminary electrical and mechanical equipment design, mechanical equipment Plot Plan, 3-D Model (4 views), 3-D aerial view/system “walk-through” Executive Presentation, and AACE Class 3 Cost Estimate. The client’s goal was to move limestone and gypsum from two different unloading points to two existing Finish Mill circuits. The conveying system incorporated new gypsum and limestone storage silos for one of the Finish Mill circuits while the other utilized existing bins.
